Hosted by Shady Grove Game Preserve, 11781 Lucky Hill Rd, Remington, VA 22734. This is an opportunity to join DU and the Pentagon Chapter in an effort to support the conservation cause and meet new like-minded friends out for some fun. Participants must be members of DU or join prior to shooting. There will be sporting clays beginning at 0900 on Shady Grove Sporting clays range followed by a lunch (1130-1230) at the clays range and an afternoon upland hunt (1300-1600) for those who want to participate. For the upland hunt, you have the choice of 5 pheasants, 6 chukars, or 12 quail. Hunting license, shot size appropriate to the game, and orange required for hunting. Hearing and eye protection required for hunting/clays and shot size no larger than 7 1/2 for clays. Please submit your desire to shoot clays, eat lunch, and what type of birds, and if you need a guide to Jon Doering via email, jgdoeringusmc@gmail.com NLT 12 March 2021.
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the events to ensure we have all checked in, safety briefs, and waivers completed. Look for the DU banners to turn into the parking areas. Hope to see you there!
