Dear California DU Sponsors and Major Donors,

The CA DU State Volunteer Leadership thanks you for your support this year. And what a year it has been! These unprecedented times called for extraordinary measures and we thank you for attending virtual events and online auctions to help DU continue to deliver conservation projects on the ground. Despite the challenges we’ve all faced this year, DU acted early on and through a strategy, rapidly deployed, we are in a relatively sound financial position. As a result, while others in the nonprofit world are struggling, DU has done more than merely survive the first round of this bout. We are rising to the challenge and in true DU fashion, we remain focused on our conservation mission with its benefits for waterfowl, other wildlife and people.

YOU make the difference. Your support enabled Ducks Unlimited to deliver a full slate of projects in California and across North America again last fiscal year. Nationally, DU impacted 608,000 acres, exceeding our goals by more than 240,000 acres in FY19! In California, DU impacted nearly 6,000 acres and has more than 200 active, ongoing habitat projects. These accomplishments are achieved through your support. And, our conservation work continues.

We’re excited to announce the California Hail Call Fall Sponsor Drive. And, just like ducks during their fall flight, we hope that you will enthusiastically “Answer the Call” and help DU continue to conserve vital wetland habitat in California and across the continent.

As we approach year-end, we ask that you answer the Hail Call and continue your support with a gift of $250 or more through our Fall Sponsor Drive. For each level you choose to support, you will be entered into a thank you gift drawing to win quality firearms!

The drawing will be held on Thursday, November 19, during a special Conservation Zoom Chat with updates from DU staff on habitat work in the Central Valley. When your gift is received, we’ll send you a link to attend this fun and informative conservation presentation and thank you gift drawing!
