BEACH CITIES DUCKS UNLIMITED IS HOSTING A FUNDRAISER IN HUNTINGTON BEACH ON SEPTEMBER 24th TO BENEFIT WATERFOWL AND WETLANDS
Dinner Event Includes Auction, Raffle, Dinner, Wine Tasting, Prizes
WHO: Beach Cities Ducks Unlimited, the local chapter of the national Ducks Unlimited organization (www.Ducks.org), the world’s leader in wetlands and waterfowl conservation.
WHAT: Fourteenth Annual Fundraiser Event, including dinner and wine tasting, an auction, drawings and games, gift baskets, and shooting instructions. Sponsorships are also available.
WHEN Thursday September 24th – 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. (dinner at 7:30 p.m.)

Ducks Unlimited began during the Dust Bowl, in 1937, when North America’s drought-plagued waterfowl populations had plunged to unprecedented lows. Determined not to sit idly by as the continent’s waterfowl dwindled beyond recovery, a small group of sportsmen joined together to form an organization that became known as Ducks Unlimited. Land protection is a critical tool by which the organization conserves habitat and, from a public policy standpoint, Ducks Unlimited is the voice for waterfowl in Washington, D.C.
Ducks Unlimited takes a continental approach to conservation; the organization’s conservation programs are rooted in research and science. The local Ducks Unlimited chapters -- such as the Beach Cities Ducks Unlimited -- carry out regional initiatives designed to connect people and resources to preserve critical habitats, protect waterfowl, and help achieve the organization’s mission.
