Dear Ducks Unlimited Member:
Your Menard County Ducks Unlimited (DU) Committee is planning the 41st Annual Dinner and Live Auction. This is
a DU event everyone looks forward to. Great food, good friends, and outstanding prizes including guns, decoys, and unique artwork, will be present.
· Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Wankel’s In Petersburg – 18239 Kelly St. – Petersburg, IL 62675
· Cocktails begin at 5:00 pm - Prime Rib Dinner (served by Poe’s Catering) begins at 6:00 pm
PLEASE NOTE: There will not be any dinner ticket sales at the door the night of the event. All State of Illinois COVID health guidelines will be followed.
We will have a General Raffle with assorted items and several guns. There will also be a Silent Auction with many unique items. The Live Auction will have several prints, decoys, and other great items found only at DU events. A special ‘Bronze Sponsor Only’ gun raffle will be held again this year (choice from an eight (8) gun banner will be drawn for every 10 sponsors). As always, there will be a Ladies Table and a Greenwing Table. This year we will have the DU Handgun of the Year, COLT 1911 Stainless Steel Classic (45ACP), as the Glenn Huffman Dinner gun.
The Menard County Ducks Unlimited Committee works extremely hard to make this an affordable dinner for its members. The price of a ticket includes dinner and one year membership to Ducks Unlimited, the largest wetland and waterfowl conservation organization. With your membership, you will add strength to the conservation of over 12 million acres of wetlands across North America.
Any paid registration received before March 23, 2022, will qualify for an Early Bird Gun Drawing. Early Birds can also purchase the following packet:
Special Early Bird $100 package that includes 6 wingspans and One Dinner Gun ticket
To qualify for the Special Early Bird opportunities, your purchase must be sent with the registration form. If you are not able to attend, please feel free to still send in your Ducks Unlimited Membership Fee ($35). You can also purchase a Glenn Huffman Dinner Gun raffle ticket(s) for the COLT 9111 Stainless Steel Classic (45ACP). If you wish to purchase a raffle ticket(s), please fill out the attached registration form and return it even if you are not planning to attend the dinner. The tickets are $20 each.
Menard County DU Tumbler Raffle Package - $100 each. Each tumbler will have (1) Dinner gun ticket, (1) General Raffle Wingspan, (7) Ladies Table tickets, (1) ATF Raffle ticket and (1) Tumbler Gun Raffle ticket. The Tumbler Raffle gun will be a Franchi Affinity 3.5” Elite 12 Ga. Shotgun. Only those purchasing the tumbler raffle package will be entered in the tumbler gun raffle. Tumblers will only be sold the night of the event.
This year we are giving our attendees/members the option to underwrite merchandise. If an individual or business chooses to participate in underwriting, their name or business name will be in the banquet program next to the specific product and will also be announced at the banquet when the item is up for auction/drawing. Please contact any committee member listed below if you or your business is interested in underwriting merchandise that we will have at the banquet.
